Obituary

Juanita Tristan passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, after a courageous battle with her health. She was born on June 5, 1965, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Hortencia Villarreal and Santiago Tristan. She was a faithful believer, loving mother and sister.

Juanita accomplished much in life but her proudest achievement was the family she cared and nurtured for. As a mother, she was protective and loving, always making sure to place the needs to her children and grandchildren above her own. Juanita truly loved the quality time she had with her girls and grandchildren. She enjoyed music, cooking, football and basketball. Her generosity was boundless, and she always made sure that no matter what she did, a time to remember was created. Those times exist in our memories that we will cherish forever. She will be kept in our hearts until everyone is reunited once again.

In addition to her parents, Hortencia Villarreal and Santiago Tristan, she is reunited in heaven with her siblings, Francisco, Sandra, Angelita, Pedro Sr., Hortencia and Rodolfo.

Family members include her daughters, Hortencia Tristan and Elizabeth Tristan; grandchildren, Ashley Rubio, Larry Rubio, Ariel Rubio, Mikel Rubio, Angelina Barbosa, Adriana Barbosa, Aaliyah Barbosa, and Angel Sandoval; great grandchildren, Jayden Garcia, Aubrey Gomez, Audrey Gomez, and Luis Martinez Jr; brothers, Pablo, Julian, Felipe, Amado, Juan, and Alfredo; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for visitation and a prayer service will be conducted at 3:00 pm.
