Juliana Yanez Rubio "Julia" 73, went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on February 16, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Juanita Yanez and Louis Yanez.
Julia led a remarkable life filled with her passions and accomplishments. She touched the lives of many and was deeply respected by all who knew her. Julia was an incredible cook who loved to spend time with family. Her generosity was boundless as she would help anyone with support, guidance and love. Julias will forever be loved and remembered.
In addition to her parents Juanita Yanez and Louis Yanez, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Granados; sisters, Lydia Villanueva, Maria Elena Villanueva and Carmen Yanez; and a brother, Louis Yanez.
Family members include her husband of 56 years, Julian Rubio; children, Rose Rubio (Alex Veliz) and Julian Rubio Jr (Lisa Rivas); 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruben Yanez (Evangelina), Macario Yanez (Mary) and Robert (Mary Alice); in addition to numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a rosary service.
A funeral mass will be conducted on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10:00 am in San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. The burial will follow with a graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III.
