Julie Izaguirre
Robinson
September 9, 1951 – May 24, 2023
Julie Izaguirre Robinson passed away peacefully on May 24, 2023 at the age of 72 in the comfort and warmth of her home surrounded by family and her beloved pets, after a long battle with cancer.
Julie graduated from Little Flower Catholic School and went on to become an accomplished Courier and member of Management for various logistical companies, pioneering and shepherding female management into a male-dominated industry. She was a hard worker and took great pride in everything she did. She later married her best friend Johnny Robinson and spent many happy years of retirement going on cruises together, thrift shopping for collectibles, and spending time with family, friends & pets.
She was a true animal lover who provided a loving home to many dogs and cats, and even rescued a few squirrels over the years. Julie loved music, with Elvis being her all time favorite, and you could often catch her in the garden tending to her many plants or working on her beautiful yard.
Julie was a loving & caring woman with a vivacious spirit, charmingly spicy personality at times, and had a giving heart. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and the family looks forward to keeping her memory alive through sharing stories with her grandkids and future generations.
She is preceded in death by her Daughter – Laura Rasmussen, Mother – Isabel Lozano, Father – Antonio Izaguirre, Brother – Antonio Izaguirre Jr. She is survived by her loving Husband – Johnny Robinson, Children – Rebecca Garza VanZandt and James Rasmussen III, Grandchildren – Alyssa Salazar, Kayla Juarez, Aaron Juarez, Juliana Rasmussen, and James Rasmussen IV (due Oct '23), and Great Grandchild – Eleanor Olivia Salazar (due July '23).
Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Castillo Funeral Home in San Antonio, TX, starting at 1pm with Rosary at 3pm. All those who knew and loved Julie are welcome to come and pay their final respects. The family would love to see you there.
