In Loving Memory of Justo “JT” Talamantez III

A Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, and Friend

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Justo “JT” Talamantez III, who passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 51. Born in San Antonio, Texas, JT was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend whose kindness, generosity, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew him.

JT was a man with a heart as big as his personality. Known for his gentle spirit, warm hugs, and dependable nature. He had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Whether someone needed a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply a reason to smile, JT was always someone they could count on.

For 30 beautiful years, JT shared a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories with his beloved wife, Becky Talamantez. Their marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and companionship. JT was a thoughtful and affectionate husband who enjoyed showing his love through generous gifts, meaningful gestures, and the little things that made Becky smile. Together, they treasured their small getaways and adventures, attending concerts, listening to music, and spending Sundays at church. Through life's many seasons, their love remained a beautiful part of the family they built together.

As a father to Rudy Fernandez, Rebecca Fernandez, Ruby Fernandez, and Tiffany Talamantez, JT was a protector, provider, and constant source of love and support. He taught his children the importance of respect, patience, kindness, and cherishing family time.

Being a grandfather was one of JT's greatest joys. He adored his nine grandchildren: Vada Lewis, Amelia Sauceda, Frank “Bear” Lewis, Dieuson Cunningham, Isabella Sauceda, Isaac Galindo, Elijah Lewis, Da'Jon Cunningham, and Ethan Lewis. Heloved spending time with them, making them laugh, and giving each of them their own special nickname. Being a grandfather brought him immeasurable happiness, and thelove he shared with his grandchildren will remain one of his most treasured legacies.

JT will always be remembered as a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He was known for his incredible barbecue cooking, bringing family and friends together over delicious food, good music, and great company. Whether he was standing proudly over the grill with a cold beer in his hand, enjoying his favorite songs, or cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, JT knew how to make ordinary moments feel special.

His legacy lives on through his devoted wife, Becky; his four children and nine grandchildren; his father, Justo D. Talamantez Jr.; and his siblings, Rosette Gallardo(Ray Gallardo), Priscilla Sanchez(Jeffrey Sanchez), and Fernando Talamantez(Stephanie Talamantez), along with many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosie Talamantez.

Though JT's time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on forever. His legacy will continue through the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.

He was our protector, our comfort, our laughter, and our home. While our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that his love will continue to surround us in everything we do. We will honor him by holding our loved ones a little closer, sharing laughter around the dinner table, making time for family, and remembering that life's greatest blessings are the moments we spend together.

Rest peacefully, JT. You were deeply loved, you will forever be missed, and you will never be forgotten.
