Karen Elaine Medina was called home by the Lord on December 27, 2021, at the age of 76. She was born on August 12, 1945, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Candelario Medina. She is loved and will be missed by her children, Juan Diego Medina (Elsie) and Joel Anthony Medina; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Norman Erickson (Leslie), Alfred Phillips (Cynthia), Ginger, Susan Morgan and Susie Rice; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was the breakfast cook and lunch server (cook) at the Western Broiler for 37 years. She retired for about 5 years. then went to work as a line server at the Shell on IH-35 & Laredo, working there for close to 6 years. Karen loved BINGO, as well as swooning over her grandkids. She also loved watching Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right, Jeopardy and Blue Bloods. Karen will be deeply missed.
