Obituary

Larry Espinoza

02/10/1965 - 01/07/2026
Larry Espinoza of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on January 7, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on February 10, 1965, Larry lived a life rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connections. He was known for embracing life wholeheartedly—always dancing, laughing, and finding joy in even the simplest moments. Above all, Larry treasured every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Larry was preceded in death by his loving mother, Guadalupe Espinoza; his father, Raymond Espinoza; and his eldest brother, Rodolfo Espinoza.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Monica Torres Espinoza, with whom he shared nearly 20 years of love, devotion, and partnership; his five children, James Torres, Edward Torres, Nathan Torres, Brianna De La Cerda (Javier De La Cerda), and John Torres; and his two brothers and six sisters, Ruben Espinoza, Mary Esther Espinoza, Ambrosia Broussard, Rebecca Gutierrez (Victor Gutierrez), Diana Lewis, Jerry Espinoza (Norma Espinoza), Angelita Sambrano, and Santos Garcia. He is also lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, each of whom he played a meaningful role in guiding and shaping throughout their childhood.

Larry's time on this earth felt far too short, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who loved him. Yet the love he gave so freely and selflessly will endure far beyond his years. Those fortunate enough to have known Larry understood that his true legacy is not defined by the length of his life, but by the kindness he showed, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he touched along the way. His presence brought comfort, strength, and joy to everyone around him, and his memory will live on through the love he instilled in his family and friends.

Though we mourn his passing, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the love he shared, the joy and laughter he brought into every room, and the many cherished memories he leaves behind. His spirit will live on in our hearts always, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

May the Lord receive Larry into His loving embrace and grant him eternal rest. May his soul be at peace and may the love he leaves behind continue to guide and comfort our hearts until we meet again.
