Larry D. Talamantez, passed away peacefully at the age of 62, on Saturday, December 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 10, 1957 to Justo Talamantez, Sr. and Mary D. Talamantez in San Antonio, Texas. Larry was a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring grandfather, a wonderful brother, a cool uncle and a giving friend.
He is preceded in death by his father; Justo Talamantez, Sr.; mother, Mary D. Talamantez; brothers, Robert Talamantez, Sr., Jerry Talamantez, Sr. and Domingo Granado, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Angie Talamantez; daughters, Jennifer Talamantez- Lopez (Gregg), Lori Talamantez (Joe Rodriguez); son, Larry Talamantez, Jr.; granddaughter, Eva Lynn Lopez; brothers, Justo Talamantez, Ernest Talamantez, George Talamantez (Margaret) and Rudy Talamantez (Debbie); sisters, Gloria Alvarado (Herbert), Linda Cerda (Roger), Marylou Moya (Rudy), and Patricia Mosley (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his family on the holidays, weekends and at birthday celebrations. He also enjoyed barbecuing for the family. He loved to travel and watch the Spurs games or the Cowboys play. He also loved to go watch movies at the theater and gamble at the casino. He especially loved his truck and took pride in keeping it perfectly clean. He also took pride in his work such as landscaping and painting. Classic cars and cruising were a few of his favorite pastimes. He had a keen eye for things that needed to be fixed or repaired and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The lives he touched will never be the same and he will forever be in our hearts.
