Laura C. Carrizal, 72, widow of Jesse Carrizal, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 11, 1951, in Plainview, Texas, a daughter of the late Argelia De Los Reyes Cruz and Austreberto F. Cruz.

Laura's hometown was Corpus Christi, Texas and lived in San Antonio, Texas until her passing. She graduated from Foy H Moody High School in 1970.

Prior to her retirement Laura worked for 24 years at Scholastic Book Fairs where she met many lifetime friends.

Was also a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and the San Antonio Spurs. She loved gathering with family and friends for get togethers and bar-b-que's, her favorite dish to bring was her yummy potato salad. She formed many close and personal relationships through her lifetime and was a joy to all who knew her. One of eight siblings, she valued the bond made from the beginning. Laura especially loved her husband Jesse Carrizal whom she loved with all her heart and soul.

In addition to her husband of 27 years, Jesse Carrizal and her parents, Argelia De Los Reyes Cruz and Austreberto F. Cruz, she is also preceded in death by two brothers, Mariano Cruz and Carlos Cruz and a brother-in-law, Richard Martinez.

Family members include her siblings, Rosalie C. Martinez, Hortensia Cruz Rivera (Alfredo), Yolanda Cruz, Luis Javier Cruz (LaNell) and Ramiro Cruz (Claudia); in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She also leaves behind two beautiful honorary granddaughters that meant the world to her, London Ranae Rios and Olivia Riley Rios and a mother-in-law Ms Ofelia R Munoz as well as many other members of her late husbands family.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm for visitation and at 6:00 pm for a prayer service.

A funeral service will conducted in Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow with a grave side service at San Fernando Cemetery II.
