LeAngela L. Sosa was born on August 14, 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee to Gwendolyn Reed and the late Clarence Reed Jr.  She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Mt. Sinai Church on Horn Lake Road in Memphis.

In 1990, she graduated from Fairley High School.  She enlisted in the United States Army after graduation and served for 22 years.  LeAngela continued her educational journey studying Psychology at University of Memphis, class of 2002; and later received a Masters in Counseling with an emphasis on Professional Mental Health at Wayland Baptist University, San Antonio, class of 2017.

During her military career, she served as an Army Admin/Medic from 1990-July 2011, and a Platoon Leader.  She volunteered for Mission Continues San Antonio and Team Rubicon.  LeAngela worked for RBT at Centria Autism from 2023 until her death.

LeAngela married John Sosa on August 23, 2007.  She was the loving mother of one son, Marquis G. Coffey, who preceded her in death; and two stepdaughters, Anna Marie Sosa and Serenity Sosa.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband, John Sosa; stepdaughters, Anna Marie Sosa and Serenity Sosa; mother-in-law, Cynthia Sosa; mother, Gwendolyn Reed; sisters, Danielle Reed and LaKesia Reed; brother, Brandon Reed; grandmother, Luester Tyler; and nephews, Khori Reed, Devin Luckett, Quinten Reed and Rakim Reed; and a host of other relatives and friends.
