Leocadia R. Sosa went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2020. She was born in Orange, TX on March 3, 1936 to Gilbert Regino and Julia P. Regino. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Mary Ann Sosa Lopez, Father Gilbert Regino, Mother Julia Regino, and great grandchild Gabriel Garcia. She is survived by her husband of 64 years; Luis Sosa Jr. and children; Luis Sosa III (Laura), Ramiro Sosa (Cathi), Erminia Flores (Casey), Rachel Garcia (Juan), Terry Escobedo (Ruben), and Alfred Sosa (Lydia).

Leocadia was a light in the lives of those who knew her. To her husband Luis, she was "mi viejita bonita." To her seven children, she was "mom". To her 28 grandchildren, she was "grandma". An angel to all, she loved to laugh. During tough moments, she found a way to ease the tension with a good prank. Despite having been orphaned at a young age and only completing a third grade education, Leocadia was the rock and matriarch of her family. She raised her four siblings and seven children, farmed fields across the U.S., and helped her husband Luis run a small business; a tire shop. She was always by his side. Leocadia enjoyed gardening and shared her love of dancing with her husband and passed it on to her children. Leocadia firmly believed that life without Chile "was not so good". She took on the world with a sweet smile and honest words. Leocadia's final wishes were that her husband, children, and grandchildren live a life of joy, have the courage to never quit, have faith in God, and know that where there is a will there's a way. Her gentle soul coupled with her strong spirit and endless wisdom gave hope to so many.
