Leticia Mendoza passed away at the age of 63 in San Antonio, TX on April 27, 2020. She was born on May 27, 1956 in Juarez, MEX.
Leticia was a dedicated mother and wife and raised her three sons in El Paso, TX, and Chaparral, NM. Later, she relocated with her husband to San Antonio, TX to enjoy time with her grandchildren. Throughout her life, Leticia's love for children led her to work in the food service industry at several school districts. Her cheerful presence was always heartfelt and welcoming to her co-workers and the school students. When Leticia was not working, she enjoyed cooking in the kitchen while also listening and dancing to Reggaeton and cumbias at the same time. She also enjoyed riding passenger on the motorcycle with her husband as they "cruised" around New Mexico and Texas. Leticia and her husband enjoyed attending concerts, local live music and spending their evenings dancing together. During the summers, she could be found vacationing in the Caribbean or on the beaches of Texas. She treasured the beautiful memories she created with her family. She will be missed tremendously.
Leticia is preceded in death by her father, Jose Valenzuela; mother, Genoveva Rodriguez Valenzuela; and brothers, Jose Valenzuela, Jr. and Ruben Valenzuela.
Leticia's beloved husband of 41 years, Gilbert Mendoza, passed away on April 26, 2020.
Leticia is loved and will be missed dearly by her siblings Susana Sanchez, Martin Valenzuela, Maria-Luisa Torres, Alfredo Valenzuela and Cecilia Aranda; sons, Gilbert Jr., Javier and Adrian; her grandchildren, Layla and Alex; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
