Librada Gonsalez Powell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Librada Powell, who departed this life on October 29,2025 in Boerne, Texas.  She was 98 years old. She

Born on August 17,1927 in Bigfoot, Texas to Fernando Gonsalez and Jesusa Gutierrez, Librada was a cherished member of our community, known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of everyone she met, always offering a smile and a helping hand.

Librada is survived by her nephews Fernando Gonsalez and Tony Brown Jr and a niece Virginia Brown Ramirez as well as many dear friends and relatives who will forever treasure her memory.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Chester James Powell, her sister Cecilia Gonsalez Brown and her brother Fernando Gutierrez Gonsalez.  Also preceding her in death was George Brown., and Luis Mario and Ruben Gonsalez as well as Mary Helen Brown Garza (Roger) and Susie Brown Martinez (Alfred), plus numerous extended family members.

There will be no formal services held.  A graveside service will be held at a later date.
