Lillie F. Silva passed on to be with our Lord at the age of 84 on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, in the comfort of her home with her beloved family. Born to Albert and Maria Fernandez, on July 2, 1938, she was one of seven children.

Lillie attended Edgewoood High School, in San Antonio, Texas and earned her diploma in 1958.  She married Luis G. Silva in 1965, and together had two beautiful children, Luis A. Silva and Lisa M. Silva. She enjoyed her career at Northside Independent School District for more than 20 years, in her early years of life. She loved serving the Lord and was an active member at San Juan De Los Lagos for many years.

Lillie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Those who came to know Lillie were always greeted by a warm, caring smile. She had a fiery spirit, a joyful soul, loved listening to music, and simply loved life. Lillie was known for her quick wit, and loved to make people laugh. She treasured family time, holidays, and cherished the visits from her family, friends, and neighbors.

Lillie was preceded in death by her beloved mother and father, four siblings, and her daughter Lisa M. Silva. She is survived by her husband Luis G. Silva, her son Luis A. Silva, her sister, Yolanda Rodriguez, her brother, Gilbert Fernandez, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She will be dearly missed by her loving family, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Funeral Home on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2022 to depart in procession at 9:00am for a 10:00am Funeral Mass at San Juan de los Lagos Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
