Linda Castro Garcia, born on June 12, 1952, was called home to be with our Lord on May 17, 2026, at the age of 73.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Seferino Castro and Rosaura Castro; her brother, Robert Castro; and her in-law, Joe Gonzales.
Linda was loved deeply and will be greatly missed by her son, Steven Anthony Castro Garcia and his wife Frenchie; grandchildren, Alexis Galan, Maya Garcia, Jade Salas and her wife Leslie Salas, Amethyst Garcia, and King Castro; great-grandchildren, Achillies Huerta, Cataleya Huerta, and Leonidas Huerta; siblings, Rose Carrizales, Mary Castro, Fred Castro, and Henry Castro, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and in-laws.
Linda proudly served in the United States Air Force, a chapter of her life that allowed her to travel the world from Hawaii to overseas destinations. She cherished those experiences and carried the strength, discipline, and pride of her military service throughout her life.
Above all else, Linda’s greatest pride and purpose was her family—especially her son. Every decision she made in life revolved around him and making sure he was loved, protected, and supported. What she once thought would be a life of just her and her son became something even more beautiful when she gained four granddaughters and one grandson who quickly became the center of her world.
Linda was the epitome of a loving mother and grandmother. She was always there at every beck and call—whether it was making costumes, giving rides to school or work, attending games and school events, helping with last-minute projects, or simply showing up whenever she was needed. She gave her love freely, selflessly, and without hesitation.
She was the light in all of our lives. Her love made everyone around her feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for. Linda had a heart of gold, and the impact she made on her family will live on forever through the countless memories, lessons, and unconditional love she leaves behind.
May she rest in eternal peace.
