Elizabeth (Lisa) Luna, age 40, of San Antonio, TX, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Lisa was born in Brownsville, TX.  She graduated from Homer Hanna High School in 1999.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Spanish Translation, and Interpreting from the University of Texas at Brownsville in August  2010 and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the University of New Mexico in December 2013.  For the past five years, Lisa was a dedicated legal assistant to attorney David Armendariz at DMCA Law Firm where she assisted on removal defense and defending non-citizens' rights.  It was Lisa's mission to reunite families and give people a chance for the American dream. Lisa was a thoughtful, kind, and non judgmental individual.  She was the life of the party and always tried to keep the peace among others. She was a sincere advocate for social justice; and blind to race, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs because she saw everyone as human beings.  She passionately loved her son, Isaac and adored her nieces and nephews. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Diego Luna. She is survived by her partner of nine years, Abraham Gutierrez of San Antonio, TX; son, Isaac Garcia of Brownsville, TX; Mother, Maria Esperanza Luna, of Brownsville, TX; Siblings: Mike (Griselda) Luna of Cypress, TX, Alma McFarland of Boerne, TX, Diego S. (Liliana) Luna of Brownsville, TX, Joe (Diana) Luna of McKinney, TX; Nephews and Nieces: Diego Alejandro, Matthew, Kevin, Alyssa, Isabelle, Christian, and Evan; as well as extended family and friends.
