Obituary

Lorena Hinojosa was born in La Cieneguita, Zacatecas, Mexico on December 21, 1973 to Javier Ibarra Hinojosa and Ignacia Macias.  At age 49, Lorena was diagnosed and battled kidney cancer.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by the warmth of her family on September 20, 2023.

In the year of 1974 Lorena and her family migrated to Los Angeles, California.  She graduated from San Fernando Valley High in 1993.  She then relocated to San Antonio, Texas in November of 2005 where she raised six beautiful children.  Lorena was  responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support of multiple technology companies through the years. Lorena was a persistent worker and obtained many awards for her dedication.  Lorena was an artist, a poet, the best cook and a die-hard Dodgers fan.  She was an amazing person who had the ability to lighten up any room and dance floor.  Lorena made many friends and cherished every memory with the people she loved.  She was a home for many children other than her own and that is what made her the world's greatest mother.

Lorena is loved and will be missed by her family and friends.  She is remembered and survived by sons Carlos Hinojosa, Jose Garcia, Alejandro Garcia, Miguel Garcia, Francisco Gomez, Jonathan Zapata, daughter Bella Gomez; grandchildren Luke, Daniel and Apollonia Hinojosa; siblings Ramona Hinojosa, Erica Rodriguez (Rigo), Christina Hinojosa, Javier Eddie Hinojosa, Alvaro Macias and parents Javier and Ignacia Hinojosa.
