Lorenzo M. Compean Jr., born in San Antonio, Texas on May 9, 1964, was called home to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the young age of 56.

Lorenzo was a much loved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and a graduate of John F. Kennedy Class of 1982. He was a passionate sports fan - specifically for his beloved Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Texas Longhorns. He could always be found sporting the fan gear of his teams everywhere he went. He was a fan of karate movies and loved to be entertained with horror films. During his work career, Lorenzo was employed with Handy Andy for many years, then at Port San Antonio, Stafford Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary where he made many friends and acquaintances. More than anything Lorenzo enjoyed spending time with his family, both immediate and extended at family barbecues, sporting events, sports watch parties and enjoying precious time with his grandchildren and great nephew.

He will be deeply missed by his son Mark A. Compean Sr. and daughter-in-law Yuki Compean; daughter and son-in-law, Genevieve A. Compean and Joshua Hollenbeck; granddaughters McKenzie Martinez, Abigail Hollenbeck, Iris Compean, and grandson Mark Compean Jr.; niece Brittany Reyes and great-nephew Isaiah Zeke Jaramillo; siblings Rodolfo M. Compean, Alberto M. Compean, Felipe M. Compean, Carolina C. Jaquez (Robert), Mary Alice Cardenas (Jesse), Brenda Reyes and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by his mother Felipa M. Compean, father Lorenzo C. Compean Sr., and sister Juanita C. Estrada.

Most of all, may it be known that Lorenzo had faith and a love for God and it is with that faith and love that we are reminded he is now reunited with his mother, father and sister in Heaven. Lorenzo will live forever in our hearts and remain in our thoughts every day of our lives.
