Lorenza Tijerina Jr, 72, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2023, at his residence in San Antonio Texas. He was born on June 3, 1951, in Marianna, Arkansas, a son of Beatrize Tiijerina and the late Lorenzo Tijerina Sr.

Lorenzo loved playing his guitar, he spent hours playing always eager to make someone smile through his music. He was a sports fan who enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys. As a husband he was attentive and caring to his wife. As a father he played an active role in the upbringing of his children and was the proudest father. As a grandfather he passed on the knowledge and love he had. As a son and brother, he always made sure to support a family who was in his life since the beginning. He will be missed tremendously until we are all reunited once again.

In addition to his father, Lorenzo Tijerina Sr, he is also preceded in death by his son, Andrew Tijerina and Vincente Tijerina; brothers, Robert Tijerina, Juan Tijerina, and Micheal Tijerina; and sisters Juanita Tijerina and Leticia Tijerina.

Family members include his wife, Maria Alicia Tijerina; children, Lorenzo III Tijerina (Lizabeth), Mark Anthony Tijerina, Leticia Villalobos (Robert), Anjelica Martinez (Michael), Cassandra Tijerina and Rick Zuniga; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his mother, Beatriz Tijerina; siblings, Aurora Guzman (Jose), Elida Ruiz, Gloria Delgado (David), Gilbert Tijerina, and Rudy Tijerina, in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive guests at Castillo Funeral Home on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary service conducted at 6:00 pm.
