After 80 years of sharing his love with his family and his love of music with his friends, Lorenzo Martinez went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2020. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all. He is preceded in death by his parents Loreto and Elvira Gamez Martinez, siblings Alejandro Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez, and Bertha Sanchez, children Lorenzo Martinez, Jr., Abel Martinez and grandson, Raul Hererra. Survivors include his loving children: son, Larry Martinez and wife Lorraine, daughters Sylvia Martinez and Cynthia Rickenbach. Grandchildren: Jillian Martinez, Brooke Martinez, Robyn Rickenbach, Ashley Rickenbach, Olivia Martinez, Ezekiel Martinez, Matthew Martinez and great grandson, Martin Guerra. Sister, Velma Vasquez and brothers Roberto Martinez, Richard Martinez, Alfred Martinez, and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 3:00-7:30 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home with a Rosary to take place at 6:00 p.m. Family and friends will depart the funeral home in procession on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. to arrive at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery III for a 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service.
