Lorenzo
Ramirez
November 12, 1951 – January 7, 2025
Lorenzo Ramirez - devoted husband, father, and abuelito - passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 7, 2025 at age 73.
Lorenzo Ramirez was born on November 12, 1951 in Coahuila, Mexico, and was raised and lived in San Antonio Texas with his mother Felisa Ramirez Garcia and siblings in San Antonio Texas.
Lorenzo was a hard worker and started working at an early age to help support his family. He married the love of his life Maria Elena Ramirez and started their family, having 5 children, Maria Elena Ramirez Jr., Lorenzo Ramirez Jr. (Cyndi Ramirez), Roberto Ramirez, Gerardo Ramirez, and Felisa Flores (Aldo Flores). Lorenzo also was fortunate to be grandpa (Welito) to his 4 grandkids, Ramona A. Ramirez (Mark Lewis), Lorenzo J. Ramirez, BellaFelisa Flores, and Aldo J. Flores II. He also had two beautiful great granddaughters, Elisa Lewis and Reina Lewis.
Lorenzo and his wife also had a small catering business where they made the best Mexican food that you could ever eat. In 2006, Lorenzo retired from working for the City of San Antonio after 33 years. He continued working to support his family, and help take care of his grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his shows and movies and for fun Lorenzo loved to go gambling whenever he had the chance.
Lorenzo loved his family with all of his heart! He loved his wife, Maria Elena, of 56 years, his children and grandchildren. Lorenzo was the best father/grandfather, supporting his family, providing advice and just being there when he was needed.
Lorenzo did not hesitate to tell you what was on his mind, and although sometimes it felt a little rough you know that he came from a good place and had the best intentions. He led by example and expected nothing but the best. Lorenzo taught us that if you want to have great things in life you have to work hard and treasure what you have.
Dad/Welito we love you forever and ever and ever sooo mucho! - Tu familia querida
