Loreta C. Moreno passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022.  She was 93 years old.  Born in Santa Clara, Texas on September 30, 1929. Loreta was a housewife and mother to six wonderful children: Irene, Lionel Jr, Jesse, Loretta, Abel and Arnold.  She attended St Gabriel's Catholic Church, with her Husband and children.  At St. Gabriel, she was in the choir, was a member of the Virgen de Guadalupe group, taught CCD classes to prepare children to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, and was a member of the Neo Catecumenado group at St. Gabriel's Catholic church.  She also played the part of the Virgen de Guadalupe on the feast day December 12.

Loreta was married to her husband, Lionel T. Moreno, who preceded her in death in 2009.  She treasured the beautiful memories she created with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.  Her passion was gardening and had beautiful rose bushes and many flowering plants.  She would talk and sing to them and they responded with beautiful blossoms for her and anyone to enjoy.  Most precious to Loretta was her faith in God.  She will be missed tremendously.

Loreta is preceded in death by her husband Lionel T. Moreno and her daughter Loretta M. Sorensen.

Loretta is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Irene M. Valdez (Gorge); sons: Lionel Moreno, Jr. (Guadalupe); Jesse Moreno (Teresa +); Abel Moreno and Arnold Moreno; three Grandchildren: Jason G Valdez, Sarah F Valdez, L. Nathan Moreno III; and one Great Grandson: L. Logan Moreno IV; extended family and friends.
