Louis C.
Garcia
November 22, 1928 – November 6, 2024
"Hello, Hello, Hello!!" This was the typical greeting of Louis to his family and friends. Louis Garcia was born on November 22, 1928, and entered the pearly gates on November 6, 2024, to behold Jesus, his Lord and Savior. There is no doubt that Louis has already found his spot in the heavenly choir, where he is singing his favorite praise and worship songs.
Louis was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where he attended Fox Tech High school, San Antonio College, and Trinity University. Through the course of his life, he started and operated several types of businesses, including restaurants, an apartment complex, a supervised living facility, and other real estate ventures.
Louis, along with his siblings, also helped his brother, Raul in establishing El Sendero Church in San Antonio. At El Sendero, Louis served as a church superintendent and held a position on the church board. Louis also used his deep knowledge of scripture to make an impact on countless lives by teaching Bible classes at church along with leading several home Bible studies.
Louis is survived by his wife, Lucy; mother of his four children, Tillie Garcia; and children, Jeanette Ortiz (Antonio), Karen Carter Hadden (Tommy), Dr. Glenn Garcia (Monica), and Dr. Roland Garcia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dr. Kelly Betsinger, Jenaye Gardner (Mark), Ricky Carter, Dana Carter, Glenn Garcia II, Krista Garcia, Esq., and Kevin Garcia; great-grandchildren, Jaden Betsinger, MJ Gardner, and Maddie Gardner; and sister, Maria D. "Cuquita" Martinez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Victoria Garcia; brother, Pastor Raul Garcia; and sisters, Amelia Hernandez, Olga Flores, Delia Garcia, Melva Losoya, Gladys Tejeda, and spouses.
Louis will be remembered for his love of God, service to his church, and his love and devotion to his family.
