Louis Alvarado, Sr. has gone Home to be with our Lord on April 12 ^th , 2022. He was born on June 5 ^th , 1926, in San Antonio, Texas to Angel Alvarado and Donicia (Landeros) Alvarado. He attended Tech high school and soon after that joined the Navy and served in World War II. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather. He was a kind and generous man who helped anyone in need. He had a sense of humor and always with a smile. May he continue his happiness in the house of the lord with his loving family. Louis is preceded in death by his parents; spouse of 37 years Beatrice Salinas Alvarado; Yolanda Richey Alvarado; sisters Olivia Granados, Rosa Sandoval, Alicia Saenz, and Mary Lugo; brother Carlos Alvarado and son Mark Anthony Alvarado. He leaves to cherish his memory sons Louis Jr. and Adam Alvarado; Daughters Elizabeth Ryan-Friend and Jo Anne Alvarado Celis; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 23 ^rd , 2022 starting at 12:00pm in the Castillo Funeral Home chapel with a rosary to be recited at 3:00pm. Family and friends will meet at St. Luke's Catholic Church on May 5 ^th , 2022 for an 8:30am funeral mass with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:00am.
