Luis D. Gonzales passed away peacefully on March 23, 2022, surrounded by the warmth and Love of his family. He was 97 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 12, 1924. Luis is also preceded in death by his son, Joe Luis and his loving parents, Ricardo and Josefina Gonzales. Luis is Loved and will be missed by his sons, Henry, Rudy, Johnny, and John Anthony; daughter, Linda Guerra; 6 grandchildren; 8 great- grandchildren; 2 great great - grandchildren; and numerous nieces, extended family and friends."

He was a member of the "Disabled American Veteran" and "Veteran of Foreign Wars". He  worked in Civil Service and retired after 20 years at Lackland Air Force Base. He was our American hero and soldier. He treasured his 97 years on earth. He was very much in Love with his wife of 71 years and always cared for her well being. He loved arts and crafts, and was entertained with boxing and wrestling.
Most precious to Luis was his faith in God. He was so very close to the Lord. In his final days he worshiped the Lord to the last day. He will be missed tremendously.
