Obituary

Lupe Garcia Torres departed from this earth peacefully to her Celestial Home on April 13, 2023, at her home surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

She was born on May 5, 1927 in Calvert Texas, and was 95 years young.

Lupe G. Torres married Paul H. Torres on March 10, 1947, and together they gave life to nine children.

Her surviving children are, Lupe Torres Morin, Pauline Contreras, Alma Morales, Raymond Torres, Antonio Torres and Raul Torres.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul H. Torres, her sons, Gilberto Torres, Jesse Torres and daughter, Rosario de la Rosa.

Lupita was the grandmother to 5 generations of grandchildren and the last surviving aunt to many!

She was a follower of her Lord and Savor Jesus Christ, and reflected His Love in her daily walk and interactions with her family, friends and everyone she encountered. She was fervent prayer warrior, dedicated to Christ and always had a word of encouragement for her children, grandchildren and everyone who came to her for advice and / or prayers.

She enjoyed spending time with her family as often as she could, drinking coffee or her favorite drink, Big Red and enjoying tacos. She adored playing with her grandchildren and getting together with her 2nd family, Los Hermanos (as she called them) to sing and hear the Word of God. Sister Lupita (as she was known) will be missed by her family and all that loved her and came close to her.

Querida Madre, hasta pronto y gozate con Nuestro Salvador y Señor!
