Lupe Zapata passed away peacefully on August 22, 2023 surrounded by the warmth and love of her family , passing at the age of 71. She was born in Victoria, Texas on February 9, 1952. She was a devoted wife, mother , grandmother & great grandmother. Through out her children's childhood she was a constant presence,  volunteering at St. Philip's of Jesus Catholic Church and was a valued member of her church. Lupe took great pride in making a great home life for her hard working husband and children. Her giant spirit and her laughter filled up the room. Her love of classic oldies & family gatherings were her favorite things to do and bought her happiness.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents Eduardo Muniz , Maria Jovita Garcia her brothers Edward Muniz , Henry Moya. Lupe is loved and will be missed by her husband Juan Zapata , children Juan Zapata Jr. (Diane), Christina Weaver, Vincent Zapata, Elizabeth Yanez (Adrian). 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces , nephews, extended family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Lupe's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing.
