Obituary

Lydia "Lily" Felan was called home by the Lord on December 30th, 2025, at the age of 86.  Born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 11th, 1939, Lydia lived a life defined by love, resilience, and generosity.  She was a woman whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and strength to everyone blessed to know her. Family was the center of her world. She especially cherished her grandchildren, remaining deeply involved in their lives and celebrating every moment she shared with them. She is survived by her daughters, Rosalinda Mancha and Joanne Martinez, and her son, Antonio Felan Jr., as well as her ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, who were the joy and pride of her heart.  Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Felan Sr., and her son, Roland Martinez. Lydia was a woman of deep faith. She found comfort and community at St. James Catholic Church, where she nurtured her spiritual life and built lasting connections. She loved spending time with friends—especially during bunco nights filled with laughter, stories, and companionship. She also enjoyed her trips to Kickapoo, where she delighted in the excitement of gambling and the memories made along the way. Her love, faith, and lively spirit will be profoundly missed but forever remembered by all who knew her. Lydia's legacy lives on through her family, whose lives she touched with devotion and unwavering love.
