Lydia M. Garcia passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on May 21, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas. Lydia was formally educated at Our Lady of the Lake University and in the 1980's she was a manager at Parent Child Inc. She had a career in Education that spanned over 30 years and enriched many lives in the process. Lydia loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, now those memories will be cherished for lifetimes to come. She will be deeply loved by all those that knew and loved her. Lydia is reunited in heaven with her husband Graciano Orozco, first husband Enrique Garcia, Sr and daughters Rosa Maria Charles, Micaela Deleon and Ruth Yvonne Garcia. She is loved and will be deeply missed by her children Enrique Garcia (Sylvia), Esteban Garcia (Farah) and Loretta Sanders (Roy) plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be recited at 6 p.m. that evening. On Thursday, August 8, 2024, there will be a funeral home departure at 9:15 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Graveside service at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where Lydia will be laid to rest with her first husband Enrique Garcia, Sr.
