Lydia Pena Saenz was called home to the Father's House on November 25, 2019, at the age of 84. She was born on May 6, 1935, in San Antonio, Texas. Lydia loved the outdoors, driving to the Hill Country and fishing. Crossword puzzles, scratch-offs and trips to the casinos were also amongst her favorite pastimes. She is preceded in death by her son, Chris Gilbert Saenz; father, Juan Antonio Pena; and mother, Antonia Garza Pena. She is loved and will be missed by her children, Laura Jane Saenz, Alan Ray Saenz, Joann Saenz Gonzales, Sandra Lee Saenz, and Adam Ray Saenz; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Pena; sisters, Edna Pena Martin and Mary Louise Pena Montenegro; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Viewing will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Road, 78226.

Family & friends will gather at the church on Friday, December 6, 2019, for a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
