Lynnette Yvette
Gonzales
January 2, 1987 – August 21, 2021
Lynnette Yvette Gonzales was called into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the age of 34. Lynnette was born in San Antonio, Texas to Darlene Gonzales on January 2, 1987. She is reunited in Heaven with her Mother Darlene; grandparents Minerva & Febronio Villanueva; her cousin Johnathan Martinez; great aunt Sofia Villanueva; and her great uncles Philip, Gil, Beto & Ramiro Villanueva.
During Lynnette's younger years she traveled all around the world competing in the Special Olympics track and field where she won numerous metals and trophies. She loved playing wheelchair basketball for Warm Springs and played as an adult for Morgan's Wonderland. Lynnette was a very outdoorsy person and never allowed her disability to get in the way of doing "normal" things. She was the type of woman if you told her she could not do something she was going to prove you wrong, that was our Lynnette… a strong, beautiful and independent woman that hardly asked for help. Lynnette loved going to Corpus Christ every chance she was given, she loved the smell of the ocean, fishing, the way the sand felt in between her fingers, the way the sun kissed her beautiful face. Another one of Lynnette's favor things to do was watching the sunset and often taking beautiful pictures. Lynnette always mentioned once she passes, and we find ourselves missing her to simply look into the sunset because that's where she will be. Lynnette was a phenomenal woman, mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. Lynnette had a heart of gold and was always willing to go above and beyond for those she loved deeply. Lynnette was a fighter, go getter, animal lover, creative minded, family person, wheelchair sports athlete and most importantly a God-fearing woman.
Lynnette was deeply loved by all who knew her, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children Amasti L. Martinez, Johnathan G. Martinez, Gabrelynn M. Martinez, and Xhilyahn Y. Martinez; siblings Crystal Trevino (Bobby), Elias Gonzales, Eliseo Gonzales (Alexis), Gabriel Martinez, and Minerva Martinez; nieces & nephews Mistikal, Ethan, Jaiven, Zion, Ariella, Lenna, Elias, and Gage; her aunts Cindy Martinez (Gabriel) and Sofia Padilla (Ivan) and her Uncle Daniel Villanueva (Patricia); along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to take place at 6:00pm. Services to conclude on Sunday evening.
The family is asking for all to wear a mask upon entrance. Thank you.
