Manuel Jesus
Luna
April 29, 1930 – January 9, 2025
Manuel Jesus Luna, born on April 29, 1930, in Erie, Nevada, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 94. His life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication to family and community.
Raised on a ranch in Zacatecas, Mexico, Manuel spent his early years helping his grandfather, learning the values of hard work and humility that guided him throughout his life. He later joined the Mexican military, proudly serving his country before returning to the United States. There, he met the love of his life, Evangelina Luna, and together, they shared a beautiful marriage filled with love and faith. They raised six children: five sons and one daughter, building a family rooted in warmth, strength, and devotion.
Manuel became a skilled carpenter, but his true calling was to serve the Lord and his community. He was a daily presence at his church, walking there each morning to volunteer his time and energy. His unwavering faith and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Manuel's light shined brightly in his interactions with others; his presence brought warmth, joy, and an undeniable sense of peace.
Manuel's legacy is one of unconditional love, deep faith, and selfless service. His family and the many lives he touched will forever cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evangelina Luna; his daughter, Diane Luna; his sons, Manuel, Richard, and Eduardo Luna; and his siblings, including his sisters and brother, Miguel.
He is survived by his devoted sons, Robert Luna and Javier Luna, more than 12 grandchildren—including Alexander and Viviana—, 17 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family in California and Mexico.
Manuel's impact on this world was profound. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide all who know him. His family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his loved ones in eternal peace.
A life well-lived, a soul well-loved, and a legacy that will endure forever. Glory be to the Creation!
