Manuela G. Flores aka Mayme Flores, 84, went to be with the Lord Friday morning, February 10, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born March 8, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Justo L. Garcia and Aurora Vidal Garcia.

Mayme lived a life of love and faith dedicated to her family and the Lord. She appreciated any opportunity to donate and support St. Jude Catholic Church. As a religious woman in life, she believed heavily in her faith. In her early years she owned her own jewelry store called "Mayme's Jewelry". Mayme was so very proud of that store and saved all the newspaper advertisements as cherished keepsakes all these years. For 17 years she was a proud military wife while her husband served in the United States Air Force before his retirement in 1977. She was married to Rey Flores Sr for 35 years and together shared two sons Rey Flores and Russell Flores. Although the marriage to Rey ended, they remained close friends and served as examples of parents who could share an unconditional love for others, regardless of the circumstance.

Mayme loved to get dressed up and dance with her girlfriends. She had an undying love for Pan Dulce, red lipstick, and George Strait. She loved playing Loteria with her grandchildren. She had so much love for everyone who knew her. Her sons meant the world to her and all of her family came first. Her generosity knew no bounds and she would help anyone with her love, support, and guidance. Mayme was a beloved, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be remembered forever by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Justo L. and Aurora Vidal Garcia, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Yolanda 'Yoli' Pais and Isabell 'Belle' Morin, and a brother, Jesse Garcia.

Family members include two sons, Rey Flores and Russell Flores; grandchildren, Kelly Flores (Amanda Flores), Angelique Flores (George Tello Jr), Jade Flores (Adam Gallegos), Marcus Flores (Mikala Flores), Marshall Flores (Kelli Flores), Summer Gallegos, Rusty Flores, and Ryder Flores; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Justo 'Popeye' Garcia (Lucy Garcia); best friend for life and ex-husband, Rey Flores Sr; in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
