In Loving Memory of
Manuela Gutiérrez Téllez
August 16, 1938 — September 3, 2025
With full hearts, our family announces the passing of Manuela Gutiérrez Téllez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. To us, she was simply the best mom and granny—a steady source of comfort, laughter, and unwavering love. She adored her family beyond measure, and she had a gift for welcoming everyone she met. She truly never met a stranger.
Born in Jiménez, Coahuila, México on August 16, 1938, Manuela carried through life the values of her roots—faith, hard work, kindness, and hospitality. As co-founder and co-owner of Tellez Tamales & Barbacoa, she poured love into every batch and turned a family recipe into a gathering place for the community.
For 60 years, Manuela was the devoted wife and partner of Luis M. Téllez; they married on May 2, 1965. Together, they built a home rich with tradition—celebrations and countless moments that stitched our family together.
Preceded in Death
Manuela has reunited in Heaven with her loving parents, Petra and Román Gutiérrez;
