She is someone that is respectful, loving, caring, God-fearing, humble, prayerful, and devoted to God's service.

Marcela Huerta gained her wings Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the age of 62. She was surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

Marcela was born on June 2, 1960, in Tabasco, Zacatecas to Jose de Jesus Huerta and Maria Elena Huerta. She was the oldest of 6 brothers and sisters. At a young age she was driven by her hopes and dreams of becoming a U.S citizen, which brought her to what would be her forever home, the United States. She lived part of her life in the state of California, where she birthed her 3 oldest children, Ricardo, Denise, and Evelyn. Eventually the paths of life led her to move to Texas, where she became a member of the Light of the World Church. There she found the love for singing in the choir, which she was a part of for many years. Marcela was a devoted Christian. She dedicated a lot of her time participating in church activities such as, fundraisers, retreats, chaperoning youth on outings, community meals and so much more.  During this time, she would also give birth to her 2 youngest children, Betzua and Genesis. Marcela went to school to become a certified nurse assistant. After completing her course, she was able to start her career where she got a position caring for many; until her health permitted. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

Marcela is loved and will be missed by her children, Ricardo, Denise, Evelyn, Betzua and Genesis; 5 siblings; her mother; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
