Obituary

In Loving Memory of Margaret "Mague" Alvarez

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret "Mague" Alvarez. She departed this life surrounded by love, carried home by the memories that will forever live within us.

To many, she was Margaret; to us, she was simply Mague. The woman whose laughter filled every room, whose joyful gritos echoed through every family pachanga, and whose presence made every space feel like home. Mague had a rare gift for connection. Her conversations were endless, her laughter contagious, and her care unmistakable. She poured her love into her family through her warmth, her attention, and her cooking; especially those unforgettable chicharrones en salsa verde that only she could perfect.

A woman of profound faith, Mague held a special devotion to the Virgin Mary. This faith was her North Star, guiding her through seasons of joy and loss alike, offering her unwavering strength, comfort, and hope throughout her journey.

Music was the heartbeat of Mague's life, and no voice resonated with her soul more than that of Juan Gabriel. His songs served as the cherished soundtrack to her greatest joys and deepest memories. Just as she loved his music in life, her own legacy will now be forever intertwined with the melodies of her beloved "JuanGa."

Mague also possessed a beautiful passion for capturing life through photography. She believed deeply in the power of preserving a moment. Her home was a sanctuary of memories, filled with photo albums, collages, and pictures tucked lovingly around her statue of the Virgin Mary. Whenever someone visited, she would eagerly bring them out, sharing stories and laughter through moments frozen in time. Through those albums, she ensured that no family milestone would ever be forgotten.

Her life changed profoundly after the passing of her beloved husband, Armando Alvarez. While her departure brings us deep sorrow, we find peace knowing her period of longing has ended. She is now reunited with those she held most dear: her "Hunny," Armando; her son, Armando Alvarez Jr.; and her beloved daughter-in-law, Lizeth Alvarez.

Margaret "Mague" Alvarez leaves behind a magnificent legacy. She is survived by her five children, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her love, her teachings, and her vibrant spirit forward.

As we say goodbye to the pillar of our family, we find comfort in the unity she instilled in us. Mague's legacy of faith and family support is a gift that will never fade. May she rest in eternal peace, her life echoing in every story we tell and every song we play in her honor.
