February 22, 1930 – February 6, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Vidal Delgado, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on February 22, 1930, in San Antonio, Texas, to Guadalupe and Francisco Vidal, Margaret lived a life rooted in faith, family, and resilience.

Margaret attended Sidney Lanier High School and, though she did not graduate, later earned her GED. She dedicated over 20 years of service at Santa Rosa Hospital before retiring. As the matriarch of her family, she was an independent and strong-willed woman, a devout Catholic with unwavering convictions. She found joy in music, dancing, gardening, and, above all, being surrounded by her children and loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lorenzo and Henry Vidal, sisters Maria, Beatrice, Irene, and Guadalupe, her son Roger, and her ex-husband Simon H. Delgado.

Margaret's legacy lives on through her loving family: daughters Guadalupe (Dominic) and Lisa Marie Delgado; sons Oscar Delgado (Anita), Roland Delgado (Mary), and Robert; 24 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other cherished family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M., with a rosary recited at 6:00 P.M., at Castillo Funeral Home (520 N. General McMullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228).

Margaret's strength, love, and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
