Margarita A. Guillen, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully after her battle with cancer on September 25, 2025, at the age of 76, proceeded in death by her husband of 48 years, Roy A. Guillen.
She was born on February 13, 1949 in San Antonio, TX to Valentine and Margarita Aguilera. Margarita will be remembered for her deep love of family, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her, her love of Gun Smoke, classic movies and karaoke. She is survived by her children, Adan Aguilera, Roy Guillen Jr., Isis Guillen-Jimenez (Daniel), Iris Cole (Mark), Ray Guillen (Angela), and Gabriel Guillen (Jennifer). She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sibling Mary Lou Ramirez; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion. Margarita's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered with love.
SERVICES:
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6,2025 from 4:00pm until 8pm with a rosary at 6:00pm at Castillo Funeral Home. Procession will depart from the funeral home on Tuesday, October 7,2025 at 10:45am for a 11:30 am Mass at St Joseph South San Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
