Margarita Mendoza was called home by the Lord on August 28, 2020. Born in Gruene, Texas, on February 22, 1919, she had recently celebrated 101 years of life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix Mendoza and Silvera Villanueva. She was beloved by her nieces, nephews and extended family. She was also very much loved by her community at The Atrium Rehabilitation Center on Louis Pasteur Drive, where she was in residence. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2020, with a Rosary to be recited at 3 p.m. A Funeral Procession will depart the Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church. A Private Burial will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
