In Loving Memory of Margarita R. Placido "Margie"

December 6, 1956 – May 27, 2025

Margarita R. Placido, better known and dearly loved as Margie, went to be with our Lord on May 27, 2025, at the young age of 68. Born on December 6, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas, Margie lived a life full of warmth, compassion, and unbreakable faith.

A proud graduate of Fox Tech High School, Margie dedicated over 20 years to the medical industry as a professional in medical billing and coding. Though she eventually stepped away from her formal career, her desire to serve and stay active never wavered. Margie then found an additional 18 years of joy in her later role at Walmart, where she was recognized with numerous achievement awards for her hard work and dedication.

Margie had a deep and lifelong love for reading, often finding comfort, inspiration, and adventure between the pages of a good book, whether she was exploring new subjects or revisiting old favorites. She appreciated all music genres, with her favorite being Tejano and had a talent for collecting trinkets, seeing beauty and meaning in even the smallest things. Above all, Margie cherished her time with family and friends, always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or simply listen with a kind heart.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Garcia, and her beloved parents, Magdalena Flores and Pedro Rodriguez.

She is survived by her sons: Roman Placido, Joseph Placido, and James Garcia; ten cherished grandchildren; her sister, Maria G. Bautista; her only niece, Barbara Bautista; four nephews; great nephews/nieces, and a large circle of extended family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Margie was a treasured mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her love of life, learning, and laughter touched all who knew her. Though she may be gone from this world, the pages of her story live on in the hearts she touched. This is not goodbye — it is simply, until then.
