In Memory of Margarito Ramirez

06/10/1937 – 09/28/2021

Margarito Ramirez entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the age of 84.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Angelita Ramirez; his children Juan Ramirez, Dagoberto Ramirez, Octavio Ramirez, Margarita Ramirez, Irma Suarez, Nora Ramirez, Jorge Ramirez, Cynthia Ramirez, Erika Ramirez-Martinez, Cesar Ramirez, and Lee Roy Ramirez; his 28 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings. He is reunited in heaven with his son Jose A. Ramirez; his parents Silvestre Ramirez and Timotea Leyva; brother Angel Munoz; and sisters Agustina Munoz and Francisca Munoz.

A man of faith, family values, great sense of humor and strong work ethic.  He started working at very young age in his hometown of Anahuac NL doing farm work and caring for horses. Moved to Nuevo Laredo to work for a lumber company for many years until he immigrated to the United States in the late 70s settling in San Antonio, TX. He had a passion for carpentry and yard work.  A soft-spoken man who liked to share words of wisdom with his loved ones. He leaves a strong Family Legacy.  We grieve his passing but are grateful for the years we were blessed to have him and rejoice in our Lord's promise that we will reunite with him in heaven.

A memorial service for Margarito will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home in San Antonio, TX on Thursday, October 14 at 6:00 PM.  Viewing and visitation will be from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM and following the memorial service until 8:00 PM. A procession will depart Friday, October 15, 2021 at 9 AM for a Graveside Service at San Fernando Cemetery III at 10 AM.

Margarito Ramírez entró al descanso eterno el martes 28 de septiembre de 2021 a la edad de 84 años. Le sobreviven su esposa por 64 años, Angelita Ramírez; sus hijos Juan Ramirez, Dagoberto Ramirez, Octavio Ramirez, Margarita Ramirez, Irma Suarez, Nora Ramirez, Jorge Ramirez, Cynthia Ramirez, Erika Ramirez-Martinez, Cesar Ramirez y Lee Roy Ramirez; sus 28 nietos y 30 bisnietos; 6 hermanos. Se reencuentra en el cielo con su hijo José A. Ramírez; sus padres Silvestre Ramirez y Timotea Leyva; hermano Angel Muñoz; y las hermanas Agustina Muñoz y Francisca Muñoz.

Un hombre de fe, valores familiares, gran sentido del humor y fuerte ética de trabajo. Comenzó a trabajar desde muy joven en su ciudad natal de Anahuac NL haciendo trabajos agrícolas y cuidando caballos. Se mudó a Nuevo Laredo para trabajar para una empresa maderera durante muchos años hasta que emigró a los Estados Unidos a finales de los 70 y se instaló en San Antonio, TX. Tenía pasión por la carpintería y el trabajo de jardinería. Un hombre de voz suave al que le gustaba compartir palabras de sabiduría con sus seres queridos. Deja un fuerte legado familiar. Lamentamos su muerte, pero estamos agradecidos por los años que fuimos bendecidos de tenerlo y nos regocijamos en la promesa de nuestro Señor de que nos reuniremos con él en el cielo.

Un servicio conmemorativo para Margarito se llevará a cabo en Castillo Mission Funeral Home en San Antonio, TX el Jueves 14 de Octubre a las 6:00 PM. La visualización y las visitas serán de 3:30 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. y después del servicio conmemorativo hasta las 8:00 p.m. Una procesión partirá el Viernes 15 de Octubre de 2021 a las 9 a.m. para un servicio junto a la tumba en el cementerio de San Fernando III.
