Mrs. Margie Ruiz Corona, wife of Augustin D. Corona, daughter of the late Francisco C Ruiz and Ascension L. Ruiz passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by the love of her family at home.
Margie Ruiz Corona and Agustin D Corona married on February 4, 1983, in San Antonio, TX and were blessed with 4 children- Lorie Ann Ramirez, Tino Corona, Anthony Corona and Jessica Marie Palos.
Proceeded in death by her parents Francisco C Ruiz and Ascension L. Ruiz and brothers Robert L. Ruiz, Arturo L. Ruiz, Jimmy L, Ruiz and David L. Ruiz.
She was dearly loved by her husband, four children, 16 grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Her legacy lives on in their hearts. She will be dearly missed by her two brothers, Francisco C Ruiz Jr. Richard L. Ruiz and two sisters Guadalupe L. Ruiz and Elizabeth L. Arriaga
Margie Corona led a full life of love, dedication, and joy. Her vibrant energy, boundless generosity, deep spirituality, and unwavering faith made her a beacon of love and light to all who knew her. Margie's warmth and kindness extended far beyond her family, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she encountered. Margie was a proud and devoted supporter of her children; she took special joy in being their number one cheerleader at football games. Anyone who attended the Lanier games could easily spot her – it was Mrs. Corona, loud and proud, cheering the team to victory with her signature enthusiasm. She proudly declared that she "bled blue and white" like the Lanier Voks. Whether the team won or lost, she would always sing, "Hey, hey Voks, we are proud of you, say we are proud of you!" Margie also cherished spending time with her family, especially playing Loteria and going to bingo, where she created lasting memories and shared many laughs. In addition to her personal passions, Margie dedicated 23 years of her life to working for Marriott, where she made lifelong friendships and contributed to the success of the company. Margie's legacy will be remembered for her joy, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family. She truly made the world a better place simply by being in it.
