Obituary

Maria J. Alonso entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the blessed age of 95. She was born September 12, 1927, in Coahuila, MX to Anastacio and Paula Jimenez. She is reunited in heaven with her parents; husband Zacarias Alonso. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her children Jose Picon, Pedro Alonso, Dora Elia Fuentes, Olga Moreno, Javier Alonso, Margarita Palacio, Rosamaria Gonzalez, Angelica Montelongo, Sergio Alonso; 45 grandchildren, 113 great-grandchildren, 67 great-great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-great-grandchildren; brothers Roberto Jimenez and Victor Jimenez, as well as extended family members and friends. Heaven has gained a treasured soul. She will live forever in our hearts.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a service to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart at 9:00am in procession on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 for a service at 9:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 655  Castroville Rd, 78237. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
