Mari found joy in life's simple pleasures, cooking, cleaning, sewing, watching novelas, enjoying her cafecito, and savoring pan dulce. Her corazón shined brightest when she cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her precious bebés. Above all else, her favorite pastime was lovingly regañar a su beba más grande, Gloria Eugenia.
Mari was an extraordinary madre, abuela, hermana, and tía not only to her family, but to all whose lives she touched. Her heart and home were always open, and she welcomed everyone with amor, compassion, and kindness. Selfless and hardworking, she consistently placed others before herself and carried an unforgettable presence and a heart of gold.
Maria Avitia Martinez will be eternally remembered and will live on forever in our corazones.
