Maria Lena B. Yanez was born in Weimar, Texas to Arturo and Antonia Barrera on April 25th 1936. She went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2025 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband Santos Yanez Sr. and numerous siblings.

Lena is survived by her loving children; Janie Spiller, Connie Coronado, Santos Yanez Jr., Facundo Yanez, Marina Yanez, and Rafael Yanez; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well.
