Obituary

Maria Victoria Carrasco, affectionately known as Vicky or Mary, was called into the arms of our Lord while surrounded by her family on January 11, 2023. She was blessed beyond measure to have lived 78 wonderful years on this earth.

She was born in San Antonio on November 25, 1944, to Ramon and Encarnacion Martinez. She met the love of her life, Juan H. Carrasco Jr., at the tender age of 16 and they were married in 1962, just a few years later. They spent the last 60 years building a beautiful home, filled with love, laughter and countless memories. She was a "domestic goddess" and deeply devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many friends and family considered her a second mom and would often ask us to share her. Her smile, giggle, and charming nature were adored by all.  She was sweet and mild mannered, but in her older years she began to show a bit of her sassy side. (We loved her even more for this as she would share stories that would make us laugh until we cried.) Her favorite past times were traveling with friends to Hawaii, Alaska, New York, Mexico, England, and Italy, just to name a few. She could be found at a casino with her sweetheart on a regular basis where she would collect her weekly giveaway prize. Her love for the holidays was always displayed throughout her home, inside and out. Everyone knows the home on West Commerce with an abundance of Christmas lights! She beamed with pride when her Christmas decorations were highlighted in the local newspaper.

She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Ramon and Encarnacion Martinez, sister, Eva Silvas, and brother, Raymond Martinez Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Juan H. Carrasco, Jr., and her much loved children, Juan Ramon Carrasco, Robert Lee Carrasco (Patricia), Pamela Ann Bellinger (Charles) and Pennie Elizabeth Price (Floyd). She is also survived by her older sister, Carmen Lopez. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren, Analyssa Marie Gonzales (Johnny), Robert Lee Carrasco Jr., Jules Victoria Masih (Daniel), Teven English Price (Jhannely), Dominique Alexander Price, Julius Taylor Price (Jacqueline), Jasmin Mercedes Price, Brielle Avery Bellinger, and Braeden Alexander Bellinger. She achieved "Grandma Grape" status with her seven great-grandchildren, Mercedes Marie Gonzalez, Logan James Gonzalez, Amar'e Floyd Price, Mya Monroe Gonzalez, Prince Micah Masih, Syre Denver Price, and Aria Kartari Masih.

Heaven has gained a new angel, but she will be forever in our hearts and her loving memories will be ingrained in our souls. Till we meet again…
