Maria Angelica Castillo Sampayo became an angel Tuesday, June 16th, surrounded by the love of her husband, Francisco G. Sampayo and daughters, Betty J. Sanchez and Marie A. Valentin.

Maria Sampayo was 71 years old. In December of 1964, she married her husband, spending 55 wonderful years with him. Her greatest accomplishment was graduating from Palo Alto College in 2013 with an Associates degree in Social Work. She proved it's never too late to strive for greatness. She was an inspiration and always encouraged her loved ones to follow their dreams.

Preceded in death by her great grandson, Aiden Jay Rodriguez; father, Sylvestre Castillo; mother, Maria Anna Morado Castillo; sisters, Rosalinda Aragon, Aurora De Los Santos; brother, Eddie Castillo; nieces, Laura Sampayo, Gracie Escobedo; nephews, Robert De Los Santos, Jerry Escobedo, Eric Castillo, and Joseph Castillo.

Survived by husband, Francisco G. Sampayo; daughters, Betty Jo Sanchez (Johnny) and Marie Antoinette Valentin (Celestino). Proudest of her 9 grandchildren, 2 grandson in laws, 1 granddaughter in law, and 12 great grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Socoro Escobedo, Lucia Vela; brothers, Richard Castillo, Sylvestre Castillo Jr., and Daniel Castillo.
