Maria Elena Trevino, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 18, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on September 2, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas to Maria R. and Juan Trevino. Maria Elena was a proud graduate of Lanier High School.  She was a housekeeper most of her life, and later established her very own cleaning service.   She is remembered by her children and grandchildren for her love of dancing, her shrimp hoop earrings, and her famous oatmeal and tacos. Maria Elena had a strong character and loved voicing her opinion. Maria Elena will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. She is reunited in heaven with her parents Juan and Maria Trevino and grandson Damien Trevino. Maria is loved by and will be forever missed by her children; Leila Viramontes (Jorge), and Michael Trevino (Crystal). Siblings; Juan Trevino, Elisa Luna, Alfred Trevino (Mary Esther); grandchildren Yasmine Perez, Lazaro Perez Jr., Aaisa Viramontes, Amaya Trevino, Isaiah Trevino, Rita Viramontes, Kalyssa Garza and Xavier Trevino, plus numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be recited at 3 p.m. that afternoon. Services conclude at 5 p.m.
