Maria Helena Gomez Gover was born on May 29, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Samuel M. Gover and Dolores Gomez Gover. On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, Maria was reunited in Heaven with her parents, brothers, Guadalupe and Felipe, and sister, Josephina.

She was a loving mother to her six sons, David, Raymond, Joe, Johnny married to Claudia, Julian, and Roy Ruben, and four daughters, Margarita, Sandra, Becky married to David, and Susana. She was a blessed grandmother to 32, great-grandmother to 33, and great great-grandmother to 1. She is also survived by four brothers, Samuel, Howard, Roy, and George, one sister, Helen, and many more extended family members and friends.

Our Mom was a strong woman of faith, never left anyone without a Dios te Bendiga (God bless you) or unbeknownst to everyone, she would do the sign of the cross behind your back as you walked away. She was the queen of our family and always made sure everyone was doing ok, and would never even forget a birthday. The main thing her heart desired was to see every one of her children gathered together in peace. She loved spending time with all her grandkids and their families. If you were blessed enough to know her, you knew that she was always full of laughter and joy. Though she is dearly missed, we are very thankful for the many memories we were blessed to share with her and know that one day we will be with her again. Her family was her world and to her family she was the world! We love you Mom!

Burial Service will be held at San Fernando Cemetery #2 on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 9 am.
