Maria Guajardo was born in Laredo, Texas, on 4 July 1922. Maria Guajardo was a Loving mother, sister and grandmother, "Cuca" as she was lovingly known, graduated from Martin High School in Laredo, Texas where she was born and raised.

Maria dedicated many years at the Salvation Army Peacock home for girls where she was a “house parent” to trouble teenagers girls and provided mentorship. Maria loved being outside caring for her plants & making wood projects. Maria loved her Chihuahua dogs especially “Pepino” who gave her lots of joy.

She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Camilo and Rita Rodriguez, husband Ysidro Guajardo, son Pedro Elizondo Sr. , brother Camilo Rodriguez, brother ENCARNACION RODRIGUEZ, sister Maria Guadalupe Molina and sister Nicolasa Martinez (Rodriguez) Chata.

She is survived by her daughter Rita Elizondo and Alfonso Elizondo Jr., six grandchildren children: Luis Joaquin Elizondo-Thomson (Alexandra Morgan Hales Elizondo),Donna Lisa Elizondo,Pete Elizondo Jr.(Rebecca Elizondo),Patrick Elizondo(Brenda Elizondo),Denise Chacon (Jesse Chacon),Alfonso Elizondo 3rd,nineteen great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.
