Maria Olga Holguin went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2022, at the age of 90.

Maria was born on July 30, 1932, in San Antonio Texas to the late Raquel and David Garcia. She is reunited in heaven with her late husband Ernesto Holguin whom together she shared a sixty-four-year marriage. She adored her most precious gifts from the Lord, her children, Sally, Martha, Linda, and Ernest. As her family grew Marias love multiplied and she always found a way to make all her grand and great children feel special and loved. Her generosity knew no bounds and she never hesitated to help anyone with support, encouragement, and guidance. She enjoyed the simple pleasure of life; those special times she could sit around the table with those she cared for talking about times of the past, seeing her loved ones succeed and thrive, or feeling hopeful for the future of those she knew. While her time in this world must conclude she will live on forever in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ernesto Holguin; children, David Galvan and Maria Hernandez; granddaughter, Janelle Marshall; and sister, Tomasa Vasquez.

She is survived by her children, Sally Lopez, Martha Sanchez, Linda Winters, and Ernest Holguin; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 21 great great-grandchildren; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a Chapel Service to being at 6:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church at 1:30 pm with interment to follow at San Ferando II Cemetery.
